Vontobel Sees Positive Client Inflows After Turbulent First Half
Vontobel Holding AG posted net inflows of client funds in the first half of the year, with profit driven lower by geopolitical uncertainty and lower interest rates. Total net new money in the first six months was 2 billion Swiss francs ($2.5 billion), aided by inflows by private clients, the Swiss bank said in a statement on Thursday. That helped offset outflows from institutional clients in the period.

Roche First-Half Earnings Beat Estimates on Asthma, Eye Drugs
Roche Holding AG said first-half profit advanced, helped by sales of medicines for asthma, eye disease and multiple sclerosis. Earnings per share excluding some items climbed 8% to 11.08 Swiss francs ($13.98), the drugmaker said Thursday. That beat the average estimate of analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.
